Bicycle Rental Clerk

Your days involve renting bikes to tourists and locals — fitting riders to the right bike size, processing rentals, handing out helmets and locks, and doing quick inspections at return for damage. The work is seasonal in many markets, with weekend rushes and tourist peaks defining the busiest periods. The setting ranges from beachfront kiosks to hotel concierge desks to dedicated bike shops.

You'll interact with riders of all experience levels, your shop manager, and sometimes tour guides. The harder part is fitting inexperienced riders safely — someone who hasn't been on a bike in years still needs to leave with the right seat height and basic safety knowledge even when there's a line behind them.
