Residential Care Assistant

Day-to-day tends to involve helping residents through their routines (meals, hygiene, medication reminders), supporting activities, responding to needs as they arise, and the documentation residential programs require. The work is hands-on and physically active — much of the day is on your feet, with residents.

Coordination tends to happen with co-workers on shift, supervisors, families, healthcare providers, and program managers. Building real relationships with residents matters — many people in residential care have experienced loss or transition, and consistency from staff becomes its own form of support.
