As a Barn and Property Coordinator, you support the management of properties with equestrian facilities. You assist with both barn operations (horse care, facility maintenance, boarder relations) and property operations (grounds, buildings, vendors). This role combines entry-level property work with equestrian knowledge.
Your day splits between barn and property tasks. You might coordinate farrier and vet visits, assist with feeding schedules, help maintain pastures and facilities, handle administrative tasks, and support boarder or client needs. You need basic horse knowledge and property management skills.
The hardest part is developing competence in both equestrian and property management — two different skill sets. You need enough horse knowledge to be useful in the barn while also handling property responsibilities.
