Website Optimization Strategist

Most weeks tend to revolve around the experimentation pipeline and the analysis behind it — developing hypotheses, designing A/B tests, running statistical analyses on results, and partnering with design and engineering on the changes that ship. You'll often work with product, design, engineering, and analytics teams on the cross-functional work of optimization. Progress shows up in conversion rate improvements, revenue per visitor, and the cadence of shipped winners.

The harder part is often the discipline of testing properly versus the temptation to ship intuition — careful experiment design takes time, statistical power requires adequate sample, and 'obvious' design changes don't always win. Variance across employers is real: a high-traffic e-commerce site supports rigorous testing with strong statistical power; a B2B or lower-traffic site requires more qualitative judgment and longer test cycles.

People who tend to thrive here are analytically rigorous, intellectually humble about hypotheses, and patient with the iteration cycle.
